WPML Enhances Support For BuddyBoss Translations

WPML – The WordPress Multilingual Plugin have recently released version 1.7.0 of their BuddyPress Multilingual Plugin and we’re delighted to let you know that they’ve included enhanced support for the BuddyBoss Platform & Theme!

This means that your BuddyBoss site is now even more translatable than ever before and is even more widely accessible to you and your users around the globe!

Let’s take a look at the new features and where you can put them to use in your community, course or membership site.

What Is WPML

WPML is a premium translation plugin that lets you translate pages, posts, menus, custom post types, taxonomy and theme text.

The WPML plugin is a dependable solution for translating your WordPress site. It is compatible with almost every plugin or theme that uses the WordPress API. It allows you to set SEO meta information to optimize your website for multiple languages and also lets you build and run multilingual eCommerce sites with WooCommerce (using WooCommerce Multilingual).

WPML also allows you to run a multilingual social network, community or membership platform with support for:

  1. Translating all BuddyBoss Platform pages such as Groups, Forums, Members, Activity Feed, and Registration. (You can let WPML translate pages automatically, send them to be translated by others, or do the translation yourself.)
  2. Translate all the strings coming from the BuddyBoss Platform and the BuddyBoss Theme (using the WPML String Translation add-on)
  3. Automatically translate BuddyBoss Groups titles and descriptions, using String Translation. (Content posted by users remains in the language it was originally posted in.)
  4. Translate the default and custom BuddyBoss profile fields
